I began making night sky and skyscape images as I matured as an artist and no longer wanted to wait around for something ‘to happen’ and felt the sky, or more so the ‘universe’ had the same emotion as a human connection which also correlates to the eye portraits- you can see the truth in a photograph by someone's eyes, a layer of trust, but by making a macro image of someone's eye without a setting or context creates an anonymity while at the same time a connection, combing the two made sense in a physical object.
